Staging is just a way of measuring and a comparison of performance. Whoever determined the stages most people are familiar with is unknown to me, but if I had to guess id say cobb.

If you ask cobb there is no stage 3. There's 1, 2, and then anything beyond is just that, beyond 2.

Lots of people that are 2007 or older definitely consider stage 3 a Turbo upgrade.

I didn't mean to cause confusion or anything, that's why I wrote TP Stage 3 though. Its just simply what he calls it.

Torquedperformance stage 3 ecu map is basically a 20psi stage 2 map that requires an intercooler, fuel pump, and boost control. Basically the mods that I have... He made it this way because it gives people the ability to do more without having to go protune for anything beyond a basic stage 2. If you ever plan on upgrading the intercooler on a 3g it makes sense to skip 2 and just buy the next map... the ebcs offers much better boost control for the $100. I got mine for $85 second hand. The fuel pump is only $80 so might as well do that too. At least, that's what got me to where I am right now. I had every intention to get a pro tune but this map really rips and DDs great too...
